Katie has been running her business Hilltop Cloud since 2011.
She has been spinning since 2009 and dyes fibre to create wonderful colour combinations which spin into fantastic yarns.
In this workshop you will learn some of the spinning techniques that she uses to get great results.
1) Katie has asked that we ensure our wheels are working well before the workshop ie. Clean them if this hasn’t been done in a while, check drive band/s, sort scotch tension is easily adjustable, oil it if necessary and empty some bobbins.
2) Bring our own materials for spinning samples from or buy from Katie for £5. This includes some resources for you to take home with you.
3) If you’ve never done plying a small amount of yarn from a plying bracelet, please, would you watch her video and then practise this before the workshop:
