Led by Diana Le Curnu a range of small, hand held looms will be demonstrated, sampling hand spun yarn, comparing sett densities and trying out weave structure and colour choice.
Have a go at trying different setts for a weaving project, experiment with colour and yarn in plain weave, twill, basket weave and log cabin or design a tartan of your own.
Materials:
Please bring your own hand spun yarn or bought yarns to experiment with. Please bring your own small loom, shuttles or weaving needle if you have them.
There will be some small looms available to use or I can pre order from Tabbyandtweed if you would like to buy one. Please let me know by 14.08.24 if so.
Cost – £10 for workshop, loom approx £24 if required.
