Dunja Roberts will be leading this session.

In this workshop you will weave a Sami style narrow band with a Sigga heddle.
Each participant will use a pre-warped heddle to weave a traditional, colourful band that can be used in a variety of ways – as a tie for a pouch, a bag strap, a dog lead, a book mark, or for many other uses (see photo below). You will also learn various ways to finish the band ends.  The workshop is suitable for all levels of weavers.
NB:  Each participant needs to provide 1) a warping post with clamp or a G clamp and 2) a weaving backstrap,  length of thick cord or belt to tie around their waist.  All other equipment and materials will be provided.
Anyone who wishes to purchase a Sigga heddle and Gehpa shuttle from Dunja at the end of the workshop may do so for £27.

Cost – £10, Non members: £30 (if space available – max 12 participants)
