Marianne and Jo had the opportunity to try lots of different spindles at Summer School last year. They will bring them along for this meeting together with some unusual spindles from their own collection. Come along and try out a supported spindle, spinning with cotton, an akha spindle, a kick spindle and a navajo spindle amongst others. The emphasis is on having a go! We can also show you how to get started on your drop spindle.
Cotton fibre will be provided on the day. Please bring your own long and short staple fibres to spin, either prepared tops or fleece, a pair of hand carders if you have them for making rolags and your own spindle/s.
Cost: no charge.
