This all day “Jungle Bag” workshop will be led by Sheila Davies. Who will share her 20 years of experience of embroidery, with a focus on 3D embroidery and textured surfaces. We will also be discussing how to interpret photographs and drawings into stitch.
Each attendee needs to bring the following: Apron, wet wipes, kitchen roll, one 2″ paintbrush plus two finer paintbrushes, table cover, hairdryer, drawing pins, 2 pipe cleaners, green garden string, old soft headscarves or blouses ( for ripping up ), piece of medium weight calico ( washed but not ironed please) roughly 36×72 cm, range of needles from fine to chunky, pins (bobble headed ones are easier to use), scissors, any threads you have (stranded, pearl etc) and a wooden frame roughly 23”x12”.
Frames are available for purchase from Sheila for £6 if you don’t have one. Please let Claire needs know in advance so that she ask Sheila to bring the right amount
Sheila will bring some threads and calico with her on the day.
